4x4 Sudoku for Kids
4x4 Sudoku is a great educational puzzle for young children. By using colors or shapes instead of numbers, even pre-reading kids can enjoy it.
Basic 4x4 Rules
✅ Fill a 4×4 grid with numbers 1–4
✅ Each row and column has 1 of each number
✅ Each 2×2 block has 1 of each number
Play by Age
Ages 3–4
Use colors (red, blue, yellow, green) instead of numbers. Color magnets or blocks make it fun and tactile.
Ages 5–6
Use animal or fruit picture cards. Transition to numbers once familiar with 1–4.
Early Elementary
Play with numbers. Once 4×4 is easy, move up to 6×6 Sudoku.
